This website has been compiled to show the history of Ston Easton Park which is located in a small village on the sloping uplands of Mendip Hills, Seven miles south of Bath & Bristol.
In 1544 Henry VIII sold the park to John Hippisley for the tidy sum of £557.3s The Hippisley family made Ston Easton their home during the Tudor and Stuart times and intermarried with many of the well known West Country Families. Today Ston Easton Park is used as a Hotel and more info is available on the above tabs. |
Now the site has been created, I'll try and add more information as I get it. Any information on the Hippisley family can be emailed using the Contact Me email icon.
I've found a site with quite intensive information on the Hippisley name, that can be reached by clicking here |
